Board tackles track bid dispute

LEE COUNTY — Lee County Superintendent Mike Howard praised teachers, students and parents for adapting to sweeping changes at the start of the new school year during the school board’s Aug. 11 meeting.
The Lee County Board of Education voted last November to shift four Smiths Station elementary campuses from neighborhood-based zoning to a grade-level model.
