A species of notoriously clumsy insects has been spotted buzzing through Los Angeles skies this month.
Figeater beetles (Cotinis mutabilis) are becoming more common across Southern California in August.
Also known as fig beetles or green fruit beetles, these scarab beetles are native to the Southwestern United States and are known for their awkward flying abilities.
