A major bridge project in Newark has been finished in time for the Fall Semester at the University of Delaware.
DelDOT reopened Library Avenue (Route 72) between Wyoming Road and Route 4 for the first time since June 11, as they completed rehabilitation work on the bridge over the Amtrak line.
DelDOT needed the 68-day closure so they could safely redo the bridge deck with fresh concrete, especially at the expansion joints that help the bridge move when there is heavy traffic or weather conditions…
