OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Construction is pressing ahead on a new turnpike segment designed to honor legendary Oklahoman Toby Keith while improving travel around the Oklahoma City metro.
The Toby Keith Expressway is a section of the Oklahoma City Outer Loop and part of a larger turnpike project intended to expand mobility from south Oklahoma City to Moore and Norman.
During Tuesday’s Oklahoma Turnpike Authority meeting, experts provided construction updates on several projects, including a full diamond interchange between the Toby Keith Expressway and Western Avenue.
