Texas man worried he forgot to tip mails $50 to famous California deli

A customer who thoroughly enjoyed his meal at iconic Langer’s Deli in Los Angeles’ Westlake neighborhood was so concerned he might not have left a tip that he mailed the restaurant a letter, along with cash.

“A few weeks ago, me and two friends ate at Langer’s. You even stopped by our booth and asked if we’d be more comfortable sitting at a table,” the customer, who signed the letter Roberto José Andrade, wrote. “As usual, the food was great. I’m from El Paso, Texas, and I’ve eaten at Langer’s the last two times I’ve visited Los Angeles. That’s how much I enjoy it.”

As he was driving away, Andrade couldn’t shake the feeling that he may have forgotten to leave his server a tip. He said he was about 75% sure he left one, but sent a letter along with $50 just in case.
