If you’ve been searching for “poker tournaments near me” in Louisiana, there is a big one coming to Bossier City this week—and, full disclosure, I’ll be sitting at the table trying my luck.
The Southern Poker/GCP Tour Louisiana State Poker Championship is scheduled for August 19-30, 2026, at Horseshoe Bossier City. Southern Poker’s official event calendar lists a full slate of tournaments during the championship, giving local poker players plenty of opportunities to compete for some cash.
