More than a week after a 63-year-old woman from New York went missing in Las Vegas, her family says they began receiving a series of mysterious text messages.

Alisa Goods, a grandmother of five, was reported missing on Aug. 10, CBS News and WABC reported. Goods, 63, was visiting a friend in Las Vegas and staying at his apartment. The friend reportedly told authorities he last saw her on Aug. 8, when she left the apartment to take a bus to a nearby CVS.

By Aug. 12, Goods’ family members say that they began receiving text messages from her phone asking for “help, gas money and bitcoin,” according to the outlet, which cited the family…
