EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A procession of hundreds of motorcyclists heralded the arrival of The Wall That Heals at Harper Creek High School near Battle Creek Tuesday.
The motorcyclists started in Galesburg, escorting the semi-truck that held the pieces of the traveling veterans memorial.
The wall is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Since 1986, the traveling display has been making stops across the country. It’s been in every state except Alaska. This is the second time it has stopped in the Battle Creek area.
