A South Los Angeles man armed with a water pistol is lucky to be alive after police officers fired at him and missed earlier this week, officials announced Tuesday.
The incident, according to a Los Angeles Police Department news release, occurred around 5:30 p.m. Monday when officers from the Newton Patrol Division responded to reports of a man walking with a gun near Broadway and 54th Street in South Los Angeles.
