Nashville scales back right-on-red ban amid pushback

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A proposal to restrict right turns on red in Nashville is being scaled back ahead of its next Metro Council vote.

Metro Council member Sandra Sepulveda said Tuesday a substitute version of BL2026-1497 would focus on Connect Downtown, NashvilleNext Tier One areas and school zones. The original proposal would have applied throughout Nashville’s Urban Services District.
