NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After nearly four years, a Davidson County inmate has been charged in a deadly apartment complex shooting.
Deshawn Donte Joyner, 35, was charged Tuesday with criminal homicide in the death of 19-year-old Pablo Ical-Caz. He has been in jail on other charges since December 2024.

Ical-Caz’s body was pulled from a car fire at a South Nashville apartment complex on Wallace Road in 2022. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Ical-Caz was shot while he was still inside a Kia, which caught fire after accelerating and hitting another vehicle. Officials said Ical-Caz was pronounced dead at the scene.
