Get Your National Night Out Street Blocking Permit in Caddo Parish

Earlier this month, while the rest of America was celebrating National Night Out, we were parked as closely as possible to the nearest air conditioning vent and wondering how anyone could spend an evening outdoors in heat like this.

And it’s because of our extreme heat in these parts, we don’t celebrate National Night Out in early August like those in cooler climates. We need things to cool off a little; at least down to just hot, not Satan is controlling the thermostat, hot.

That said, here in the northwest corner of Louisiana, we won’t celebrate National Night Out until October 6, however, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is already accepting applications for street-blocking permits from residents in the unincorporated areas of Caddo Parish who wish to close their streets for block parties for the night’s event.

If you are one of those in an unincorporated area of Caddo Parish (outside any city limits) and you’d like to submit an application, simply stop by either the Sheriff’s north or south substation, or the Patrol Office at 4910 North Market Street in Shreveport…
