Gilbert breaks from pack on East Valley Institute of Technology busing

The East Valley Institute of Technology is providing transportation for students attending its Mesa campuses from seven of the nine districts that sued it over issues involving money and control.

But the other two districts – Cave Creek Unified and Gilbert Public Schools – broke from the pack and are providing transportation for their students to Mesa, just as they and the other seven did for years.

Transportation was not a part of the case in which EVIT was sued last December by nine districts, including Chandler, Queen Creek, J.O. Combs, Apache Junction, Fountain Hills and Higley unified districts as well as Tempe Union High School District, Cave Creek and GPS…
