Officials closing downtown Raleigh tunnel from GoRaleigh Bus Station to Wilmington Street to ‘improve security’

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Raleigh officials said Wednesday that closing off a pedestrian tunnel at the downtown GoRaleigh Bus Station should help “improve security and pedestrian safety.”

Currently, a pedestrian tunnel exists from the GoRaleigh Bus Station at Moore Square to Wilmington Street, emerging in the 220 block. The tunnel also allows access to stairs for the Moore Square parking deck.
