When you realize that they’ve hidden an arrow in the FedEx logo, your mind is blown. Rightfully so. When you realize why they call the newest Elmwood bar Equal Parts, your mind literally explodes.

It’s Equal Parts: that is, equally neighborhood tavern AND cocktail bar. It’s not dive-y yet it’s not stuffy. It’s equal parts laidback as it is elegant.

We kind of just want to paste a picture of their menu here because our words can’t do it justice. They’ve carefully crafted a gorgeous cocktail menu, with classics like the Paper Plane or Negroni, and innovative drinks like the Nightmare on Elmwood and Dos Mundos. One features tomato water and Frank’s Red Hot, while the other combines rum and tequila. It’s up to you to guess which one’s which.

Beyond the always enticing drinks list, the chef has curated a vast array of what we can only call elevated street food. Truffle puffs consist of house-made mozzarella, puff pastry, garlic butter, and truffle salt. Street corn riblets feature chili mayo, cotija cheese, cilantro, and lime. BBQ jerk meatballs are basically exactly as good as they sound.

These plates are designed to be shared, so this is the spot to bring your partner, your friends, or your coworkers. It’s lowkey the move for other service industry folks especially, but all are welcome at Equal Parts!

It’s a late-night spot all week long, so you are invited to settle in ‘til midnight. On Friday and Saturday, you get a late curfew with a 2 A.M. close!…
