The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a single overnight lane closure on a portion of Interstate 71/75 northbound in Kenton County and I-71 in Ohio. Crews are performing preparation work ahead of demolishing the Second Street exit ramp.
An overnight northbound single right lane closure is in place from the beginning of the Brent Spence Bridge approach on the Kentucky side (191.2 mile point) to just past the Second Street exit (0.5 mile point in Ohio). One lane of traffic will be maintained in Ohio on I-71 northbound.
Seven nights of work are expected for this portion of the project. Weather permitting, the lane closure times are listed below with the lane reopening the following morning:
- Wednesday, Aug. 19: 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 20: 11:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
- Friday, Aug. 21: 11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 22: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Sunday, Aug. 23: 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Monday, Aug. 24: 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Tuesday, Aug. 25: 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
