FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne City Council approved nearly $5 million in improvements around the city at Tuesday night’s meeting.
Four projects led by the city’s Public Works Division received Committee Session approval to the tune of $4.9 million, ironing out details for the pedestrian bridge over Coliseum Boulevard and repairs in the Pettit-Rudisill, Westwood North, and Westwood Valley neighborhoods.
A sum of $1,150,000 was approved to acquire .688 acres of land by Bob Thomas Ford for the Vann Family Crossing pedestrian bridge, according to the city’s press release. The bridge, expected to be complete by winter 2027, is planned to connect the Pufferbelly Trail over Coliseum Boulevard…
