Greensboro Reopens Home Repair GSO Grants—Up to $20,000 for Critical Fixes, Only 20 Slots

Greensboro homeowners who’ve been putting off a leaky roof, failing electrical panel, or broken plumbing because they can’t afford the fix may now have a way out—if they move fast.

The city’s Home Repair GSO program opened applications on August 17 and accepts submissions through September 18 at 4:00 PM—or until 20 completed and approved applications are received, whichever comes first. Once 20 completed and approved applications are received, this application period closes; another application period will open after the first 20 applicants have completed the program.

Grants top out at $20,000 per household and cover roof repair or replacement, electrical and gas system repairs, plumbing, hot water systems, and accessibility upgrades like wheelchair ramps, supports and handrails, and walk-in showers…
