JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A city-wide street racing deployment on San Jose Boulevard ended with at least five arrests Saturday night, as Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers and Florida Highway Patrol units fanned out across the corridor after social media posts flagged the area as the site of a planned car meet, according to arrest reports.
The arrests took place around 10 p.m. on Aug. 15, 2026, along a stretch of San Jose Boulevard in Jacksonville. Charges ranged from street racing and stunt driving to operating a vehicle at 100 mph or more.

The deployment
Investigators say officers from JSO’s Patrol Support unit, working alongside FHP, had been monitoring a stretch of San Jose Boulevard after social media posts indicated a large car meet was planned there.
