BOSTON (WWLP) – A federal grand jury has indicted a 23-year-old Massachusetts man for allegedly running an online drug trafficking operation that distributed synthetic opioids nationwide through the U.S. mail, resulting in a fatal overdose in Las Vegas.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, Jaden Zion Andre was indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of distribution of and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance analogue resulting in death, three counts involving a controlled substance analogue, and four counts involving controlled substances.
Federal prosecutors allege Andre ran an online drug business through accounts on Telegram, Proton Mail, and Reddit using names such as “MontanaSnacksLLC” and “SnackSeason.” Authorities said customers used the accounts to request samples, place orders, and arrange payment and shipping.
Investigators allege Andre concealed drugs inside common snack food packaging, including cheese balls, chips, popcorn, rice crisps, and Pirate’s Booty bags, before mailing them from post offices across Massachusetts to customers nationwide…
