Estacada man sentenced after officers find 270 pounds of meth in truck

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – An Estacada man was sentenced to federal prison on Wednesday after he was found with 270 pounds of methamphetamine, according to authorities.

Anthony Barrera, 31, was sentenced to more than 14 years in federal prison with 5 years’ supervised release for possession with the intent to distribute meth, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon said.

“We are proud to work with our law enforcement partners at the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigations to hold drug dealers accountable and stop this huge influx of deadly drugs into our Oregon communities,” said Scott E. Bradford, U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon.
