CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Several lanes are closed Thursday morning following an accident on Interstate 85 South, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
NCDOT said the crash happened just past Exit 43 near Sugar Creek Road. The incident was reported at about 8:46 a.m. Two right lanes of Interstate 85 South remain shut down.

Medic said one person was treated for minor injuries and taken to a local hospital.
Drivers should expect delays in the area while crews work at the scene. The cause of the crash has not been released…
