Driver Changes Plea in Polk County Vehicular Homicide Case

POLK COUNTY — A Minnesota man has changed his plea in a felony homicide case stemming from a July 2024 Polk County crash that claimed the life of another driver.

The criminal complaint filed in January 2025 against Kenneth Kyle Kelley (43), of St. Paul, MN, states that on July 1, 2024, Kelley’s vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck a Mercury Grand Marquis, killing the male occupant.

A subsequent blood test found amphetamines, methamphetamines, and THC in Kelley’s system. Kelley remains in custody, awaiting sentencing…
