PITTSBURGH, ALLEGHENY COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Shapiro administration is allocating $20 million from the new state budget into Pennsylvania’s Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act (HSCA). State leaders announced the funding during an event at Hazelwood Green in Pittsburgh.
According to the announcement, the state funding is intended to clean up hazardous sites and convert former industrial properties into community spaces and business hubs across Pennsylvania.
