Ga. abduction suspect also faces Alabama baby kidnapping charge

BESSEMER, Ala. — A woman accused of kidnapping two young sisters in Georgia also faces charges in Alabama for allegedly taking a 4-day-old baby in 2021, officials said.

Lynneice Washington, the Jefferson County Bessemer Cut-off district attorney, said Lakesha Brown missed two court dates in the Alabama case — one in February 2025 and another in May of this year.

Brionna Washington said Brown kidnapped her 4-day-old son, Kamarion, in 2021. She said she never expected someone she trusted to take her child.

“If it wasn’t for my 4-year-old at the time and my neighbor watching, he put my baby in the car, I don’t think I would have got him back,” Brionna Washington said…
