Landmark Church Gifts Church Building to LIIV Atlanta

Landmark passes on a 50-year legacy to a new generation of faith

Landmark Church has been a beacon of faith in the Peachtree Corners community for the past fifty years and is now passing along that legacy by gifting their building to LIIV Atlanta, a thriving new church that plans to open their third location this fall.

“A gift like this doesn’t belong to us, it’s been entrusted to us,” said Dr. Mayo Sowell, senior pastor at LIIV Atlanta. “Eleven acres, debt-free, on Holcomb Bridge Road means every dollar that would have gone to a mortgage goes instead to people, to families, to formation, to the community around this property. We intend to steward it like it’s borrowed, because it is.”

Landmark Church was founded in 1974 by Pastors Jeanette and Fred Kelly who started the church in their home. Several years later, a local farmer in the community allowed them to build their church on his 11-acre property located at 3737 Holcomb Bridge Rd. which today houses the main sanctuary, ancillary buildings and sports/recreational fields…
