Second time is the charm: Prichard man found not guilty of murder in re-trial

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – After deliberating over parts of three days, a jury on Friday found a Prichard man not guilty of murder.

It was the second trial for Jordan Matthew Miller, whose first trial ended in a hung jury in October 2025.

Prosecutors alleged that Jordan Matthew Miller, 23, fatally shot 24-year-old Phillip Glover on Lefevre Street in Mobile in April 2023. According to testimony, Miller’s brother was at the house when a dispute arose between Glover and a third man over missing money. Miller’s lawyer argued self-defense.

The verdict means Miller will be out of jail for the first time in almost 2½ years…
