ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The University of Rochester’s Department of Surgery celebrated the graduation of its 2026 Next Gen of Surgery class on Friday.
The program is made up of 17 local high school students, all interested in going into the medical field. News10NBC’s Adelisa Badzic was there as students showcased what they learned during their six-week internship.
UR Medicine chose these students from 60 applicants, ages 16 to 18. They spent the summer working with physicians, surgeons and researchers.
