Late August news for Texas Tech athletic teams continues this late summer.
Texas Tech football announced the “Let’s Ride” alternate football uniform in partnership with Adidas and Patrick Mahomes. The all-black design pays homage to the Masked Rider tradition and incorporates Mahomes’ Gladiator emblem prominently. The Red Raiders will unveil the look on Sept. 18 versus Houston.

Texas Tech’s women’s volleyball team will host its annual Red & Black Scrimmage at 6:00 p.m. at the United Supermarkets Arena. The free volleyball scrimmage is open to the public. Admission is free for any supporters wishing to get an early look at the squad.
