Road rage charges: Man pointed gun at driver before shooting at Ramsey County deputy

A man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly shooting at a Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office deputy and his K-9 partner amidst a road rage incident in Maplewood.

Felony charges filed Thursday against Dmonte Shavezz Leanna, 25, New Brighton, include attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault involving deadly force against a peace officer, second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, and illegal possession of a firearm.
