Twenty Las Vegas bands are converging on Palms Casino Resort next Monday for Frenzy Fest LV, a single-night showcase built entirely around original music in a city where cover acts and residencies dominate the marquee. The festival spreads across three venues inside the resort, and admission is free with advance registration, though organizers are encouraging a suggested donation to support both the performing musicians and a local youth arts nonprofit.
According to the KTNV Morning Blend, the event brings Las Vegas musicians together to celebrate the artists shaping the city’s original music scene, and it doubles as a fundraiser supporting arts education for local youth. Frenzy Fest LV is scheduled for Monday, August 24, at Palms Casino Resort, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and performances running from 7 to 11 p.m., per the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The single-night showcase features rapid-fire 20-minute sets spread across KAOS nightclub, Palms Pool, and Greene St. Kitchen, letting all 20 bands perform in one evening without asking fans to pick a single stage and stay put.
More Than 80 Musicians, One Rule
More than 80 local singers and musicians are taking part, under a strict event rule that bars any artist from playing in more than one band during the night, the Review-Journal reports. That restriction is meant to widen the pool of original talent on display rather than let a handful of in-demand players dominate multiple sets.
Among the acts is Mojo Juju, whose members Lea Cappelli and Nazim Chambi both joined the Morning Blend to talk about the festival, with Mojo Juju performing an original song live on the broadcast. Cappelli and Chambi described Frenzy Fest as a chance for music fans to discover and support homegrown Las Vegas talent, according to the show. The lineup also includes performances from Fletch Walcott, Justin Carder, Blue Man Group drummer Jeff Tortora, and The Far Worst, per the Review-Journal’s account of the bill.
Hosts and the Team Behind the Night
The evening is hosted by Las Vegas performers Shawn Eiferman, Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie, and Asha Di Canta, the Review-Journal notes. Frenzy Fest LV is produced by Henderson-based Beyer Entertainment, an employee-owned live event production company founded in 1994 by Steve and Kathleen Beyer and now led by CEO Woody Jarrett, according to a release distributed via ACCESS Newswire. The company transitioned to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2018, the release adds…
