Henderson’s Boulder Highway Rebuild Set for August 2027 Finish as Residents Report Safety Issues

Henderson’s Boulder Highway project remains scheduled for an August 2027 completion, officials confirmed. This massive undertaking spans 7.5 miles, and crews have now entered the final year before the target date arrives.

Underground work is done. Storm drains, water lines, and electrical systems now sit beneath the pavement. More than 400 streetlights glow along the route, and workers have built about 90% of the raised bike path. Seven bus shelters stand ready for riders, with 27 more coming.

Asphalt crews will resurface Boulder Highway soon. The stretch from Major Avenue to Wagonwheel Drive should get its final layer before 2026 ends. Sidewalk ramps and the last traffic signals will activate by December. Crews will install remaining bus shelters by January 2027. Tree planting continues — workers have finished 40% so far…
