TARRANT – The Montevallo Bulldogs entered the locker room at halftime looking dejected after a slew of first-half penalties halted any momentum before it could get started and they trailed 7-6 to the hosting Tarrant Wildcats.
However, after halftime adjustments and a seemingly rejuvenated confidence, the Bulldogs dominated the second half en route to a 33-7 final score on Aug. 21.
“You know, it wasn’t pretty, especially early on,” Montevallo head coach Garrett Langer said postgame. “But we felt like when we came into this, we had the advantage numbers-wise–we don’t get to say that very often. So, we felt like if we kept plugging and played clean, we could wear them down.”…
