Albuquerque launches 3 water projects to triple supply amid Rio Grande drought

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque is breaking ground on three new water projects, including two new aquifers that officials said will triple a 1 billion-gallon supply.

The projects come as the Rio Grande is dry and the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority cannot add water to its aquifer storage savings.
