NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred along Interstate 26 on Saturday, hitting two deputies and a motorcyclist. The two deputies and the motorcyclist were all transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries and have since been released.
Around 2 a.m., a Charleston County deputy was conducting a traffic stop on a motorcyclist along I-26 near the Remount Road exit when a vehicle struck the back of the deputy’s patrol vehicle. The deputy standing outside the vehicle who was conducting the traffic stop, another deputy who was in the patrol vehicle, and the motorcyclist involved in the traffic stop were all injured.
The suspected driver and passenger took off running toward Remount Road after hitting the patrol vehicle. No arrests have been made…
