A Code Orange air quality alert is in effect Monday across much of metro Atlanta and north Georgia. Outdoor air is expected to be unhealthy for some residents.
Areas covered: The alert includes Barrow, Bartow, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Newton, Paulding, Pike, Rockdale, Spalding and Walton counties, along with north and south Fulton County.
