Police have warned about a new wrinkle in an ongoing scam where callers impersonate officers.
The Beavercreek Police Department said in a social media post that scammers are impersonating a police captain.

Callers try to intimidate residents by claiming that they have been identified in connection with serious crimes. This includes internet crimes against children, according to the social media post.
