GREENVILLE (Greenville Drive) – A thunderous comeback for the Winston-Salem Dash led to a 12-5 loss for the Greenville Drive, dropping the series 4-2. The Dash improves to 28-25, while the Drive falls to 26-28 in the second-half standings.
Alex Bouchard started off hot, retiring the first six batters he saw, which included four strikeouts. Nick McLain broke through with a leadoff homer in the third, giving the Dash a one-run lead.
Bouchard exited the game in the fourth due to leg pain, causing Adam Bates to take over with two on and two out before loading the bases on a walk to McLain. Isaiah Jackson’s leaping catch in right saved the Drive a couple of runs, stranding all three Dash runners…
