LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Another HOT day for the South Plains with a high of 102 degrees in Lubbock. Tomorrow will even be hotter with the potential for a new record high of 105 degrees.
Due to the hot temperatures and possible record the KCBD weather team has designated tomorrow as a First Alert Weather day.
A Heat Advisory will be in effect for most of the central South Plains with an Extreme Heat Warning for the eastern South Plains. The communities along and east of the Caprock may experience another day of extreme heat with highs from 105 to near 110 degrees.
