LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A man is being held without bond after investigators linked him to suspected fentanyl overdoses involving students at a Loudoun County high school, officials said Monday.
Authorities arrested Isaac Melendez-Carranza, 31, on Aug. 20. According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies took Melendez-Carranza — an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador living in Sterling— into custody after serving search warrants, and money and suspected narcotics were recovered.
