Augusta man among three indicted by federal grand jury

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – An Augusta man is among three people indicted in August by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Georgia.

Perry Patalano, 63, of Augusta, was indicted on charges of health care fraud, theft of government money, property or records, and aggravated identity theft, according to prosecutors.

A man was bitten by an alligator in North Augusta over the weekend.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General and other agencies. Specific details were not released…
