A license plate found at a fatal hit-and-run scene last week helped police locate and arrest an 18-year-old suspect within just six hours, the California Highway Patrol said.
Julian Adame Jr. was arrested Thursday in Tulare County, 200 miles away from where he is accused of striking and killing Irma Elizabeth Oxlaj Vargas in East Palo Alto earlier that day, the CHP said.
