NEW FREEDOM, Pa. (WHTM) — Last week, a local VFW unveiled its new ADA-compliant post building in York County.
On Friday, Aug. 21, the New Freedom VFW Post 7012 celebrated the grand opening of its new post building, which recently relocated from 123 W. Main Street to 345 N. Constitution Avenue in New Freedom.

According to the VFW Post 7012, the new building welcomed more than 175 guests on opening day, giving locals a chance to tour the new ADA-compliant building.
Some new features of the post building include:
- Veterans Resource Center to provide assistance to Veterans and their families with mental healthcare support/referrals, VA benefit guidance, career counseling, education resources, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
- A Canteen Bar and Dining Room.
- New Community Hall to host VFW dances, events, fundraisers, as well as offering a rental space for other events like weddings, wakes, and parties.
