A former Compton City Council member faces sentencing Monday for taking part in a bribery scheme to secure marijuana permits and cheating on his taxes.
Isaac Galvan, 39, of Compton, pleaded guilty in December in downtown Los Angeles to one count each of bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds and tax evasion.
