Casselberry residents say protected peacocks have become a growing nuisance

CASSELBERRY, Fla. — Residents in a Casselberry neighborhood say a growing population of peacocks has become a problem they can no longer ignore, with the birds damaging property, making noise and leaving droppings in yards and streets.

Tami Max says the peacocks have become a regular presence in the Lost Lake subdivision, where she has lived for about four years.

She says the birds turn up throughout the neighborhood and have even gotten trapped inside her pool enclosure…
