A Pittsburgh police sergeant who sued the city more than a decade ago after it rejected his application to join the force has resigned after pleading guilty to his second DUI in the past five years.
Tariq Jamal-Francis’s last day with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police was Friday, according to Cara Cruz, a police spokeswoman.
