Tracking a major heatwave this week

A major heatwave is in the forecast this week. We start Monday morning with overcast skies and pockets of dense fog. Dont let the clouds fool you, it’ll be a toasty day on board. Many areas are underneath a Heat Advisory starting at 10am with increased risk of heat related illness and fore weather concerns. Highs rise into the 80s at the beaches and 90s along with triple digits inland. Stay hydrated! Overnight we will see more dense fog developing, causing visibility issues

Increasing offshore flow will case a rise in temperatures Tuesday. All clouds clear rapidly and many areas rise 6-12 degrees above average. Sundowner winds are back in the forecast and will help minimize marine layer and fog influence from Tuesday and onward in Santa Barbara.
