Evacuation is over at Tara High School, authorities say there’s no credible threat at this time

BATON ROUGE — Following the Monday morning evacuation of Tara High School, local authorities are now saying there is no threat on the school’s campus.

The school was placed on lockdown around 11 a.m. and then evacuated after reports of a potential threat on campus were called to local authorities. East Baton Rouge Parish School System officials enacted all district safety protocols.

Students reported hearing what they believe sounded like a gunshot. Authorities have not confirmed a gun was fired on campus…
