Aug. 24 (UPI) — Police in Texas came to the rescue of a kinkajou — an exotic animal native to Central and South America — trying to find shelter from the summer heat.
North Richland Hills police were called out Thursday on a report of an unusual animal described as possibly a monkey or small kangaroo.
The animal, found attempting to shelter from the heat behind a trash can outside a Mod Pizza business, was identified as a kinkajou.
