Frisco Residents Are Getting A 10% Trash Rate Cut

Frisco residents are about to pay a little less to have their trash and recycling hauled away. The Frisco City Council approved a new 10-year agreement with Waste Connections Lone Star during its Aug. 18 meeting, extending the company’s solid waste services through July 2037.

The deal also comes with lower residential rates and a citywide replacement of trash and recycling carts.

What Frisco Residents Will Pay

Under the new agreement, the combined monthly residential rate will drop 10%, from $15.39 to $13.85 during the first year of the renewal.

After that, the rate will be adjusted annually based on the consumer price index. Those adjustments will be capped between 1% and 5% in any given year…
